Item identification / Remanufacturing
The reconditioning of used plants/equipment by complete dismantling, cleaning and testing of the components, as well as the possible subsequent upgrading by the replacement of obsolete components (refurbishing) play an increasingly important role for engines, hydraulic parts or transmissions, for example. Compared to the production of new parts, there is a significant potential for savings in terms of raw materials and energy.
With its recognition function, the IMS 360 enables quick identification of used parts for the purpose of repair or refurbishing. Although used parts often differ from new parts due to heavy soiling and signs of wear, the IMS 360 is able to identify the right part with the greatest possible certainty thanks to its probability-based recognition function.
In addition, the recognition in the logistics process avoids secondarily expensive searches. Uncertainties and lengthy inquiries within the staff are avoided.
